GRANT CRITERIA
The first step in applying for a grant from the MurthyNayak FOUNDATION gives your agency the opportunity to briefly summarize (in 150 words or less) your agency, along with your URL, the purpose for your request, and the amount of support you are seeking on one page.
From this summary, our foundation board will determine whether the goals of your 501(c)(3) organization in the United States, or organizations cleared for funds by the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act from the Home Ministry in India, align with the mission of the MurthyNayak FOUNDATION and fit within its funding resources. The MNF will respond to all submitting agencies, inviting those groups that we would like to consider supporting to make a full grant application. This second step of the process includes directions for providing the MNF with additional information about your specific project, supporting materials that can be included, and a brief budget form.
Grants from the MurthyNayak FOUNDATION typically are in amounts ranging from $2000 to $10,000, with occasional grants being a little more or a little less than this.
